Goddess of the Day: Bast

Goddess of the Day: Bast

In Egyptian mythology, Bast is the goddess of sensuality, healing and is the protector of cats. If any cat were to die, it was her who brought them back to life, which is where the concept of them having nine lives originated.

The word passion originated from this goddess’ first form, Pasht. Bast was known to have three husbands, and she was also the lover of all gods and goddesses, so bisexuality was one of her traits. She enjoys pleasure in all its forms and she doesn’t care about what other people think.

Bast encourages us to live in the moment when it comes to romance and sensuality. On a day like today, call on Bast to help to enhance sexual relationships, sensuality, intimacy and affection.
