Tarot Card of the Day: Four of Swords

Tarot Card of the Day: Four of Swords

A time of rest and recovery, the Four of Swords encourages us to give ourselves a little bit of time to recuperate from our day to day lives and even from the things that have shattered our world. Some of us just need to rest, but more unfortunate ones have had really devastating occurrences recently that they just need time to heal from. If this is the case, do not ignore your time of recovery and let these wounds heal. If you are more fortunate and just sensitive to the alignment of the planets, then your body will probably be telling you to rest, even if there is no reason to feel tired. Either way, if you can, take this time to rejuvenate. you will need it for later days, but do not dwell in this state for too long because a body in rest stays in rest. We don’t want to shirk our responsibilities for too long.

Goddess of the Day: Pele

Goddess of the Day: Pele

In Hawaiian mythology, she is the goddess of volcanoes and vitality. A goddess so in love with fire, she made her home in a volcano by creating it, and is credited with creating and shaping the Hawaiian islands. Her sister, Namaka constantly gives her a hard time by crashing her waves onto her and her home, so the story relates that they never really got along, which is why their mother insisted that Pele find another home, and decided to make her dwelling as what is now known as Mount Kilauea. She is sometimes known to punish individuals who choose to steal the stones from her sacred places and when she stomps her foot in anger, the earth quivers and the lava flows. She is a volatile goddess who can be both benevolent and malevolent, so stay on her good side. On a day like today, when you feel lazy and out of energy, call on her for some energy and vitality and she will respond.

Candle of the Day: Orange

With the void moon in Taurus, today is a day when you may just want to rest and take a load off. You probably will feel burned out and tired. If you can somehow take a nap today, do it! But for those of us that can’t because it is just not possible, this will probably be a difficult time which may lead to falling asleep at the desk, tripping on your own feet, getting lost, making mistakes or just ignoring tasks all together. Light an orange candle to balance this out. You will need it!

Tarot Card of the Day: Judgement

Tarot Card of the Day: Judgement

Today is a day of change. Clearing out the clutter, getting rid of the old to invite new things into your life. Some will experience some very difficult decisions today like saying goodbye to people and things that were once so important in their lives. But this is a very important step into the next phase of your life, so you must do what needs to be done. Please, be careful, however of tactlessness and harsh words, because that is no way to release anything into the universe. You must have compassion in letting things go. You must embrace the importance of humility when you have to leave people and things behind to pursue your goals. Step into the portal of truth, clarity and the future and try not to look back into the past without fond memories of what is left behind.

Goddess of the Day: Veritas

Goddess of the Day: Veritas

In Roman mythology, Veritas is the goddess of truth depicted as a virgin maiden dressed in white or completely nude, and usually with a solemn look on her face. On a day like today where your intuition lets you know the positive and negative of every situation, where you are aware of the things and people you need to release from your life, only because they no longer renew your spirit, Veritas encourages us to not be afraid of the harsh lines of reality and to let go of the soft edges of fantasy so that we can internally grow and take the next step into the person we are supposed to be.

Veritas is also a very elusive goddess that hides at the bottom of a holy well, so you can learn from her how to be non-extravagant with these changes you are about to make, and basically use tact and diplomacy when telling others the truth in how you feel about them. Sometimes, we feel it is easier to simply ignore a person’s phone call when we don’t want to speak to them, and there is a time for that but not today. It is a time for cleansing and clearing the clutter, so speak your mind, but don’t be rash. Also, it is a day where we will feel naturally arrogant as well, so call on her to assist you with humility.

Candle of the Day: Turquoise

Candle of the Day: Turquoise

With the moon still in Taurus and Mercury in Pisces, it is a time when things become 100% clear to you and others around you. You know what and who is good for you in your life, you can see right through lies and deception. Your mind will probably still be on success mode and you’ll pay strong attention to detail. The negative side of today is the possibility of arrogance when it comes to your successful projects and/or skills. Balance this out by lighting a turquoise candle to increase your natural energy and to restrain from thinking too highly of yourself. Lighting turquoise on a waxing moon can also assist with positive karma, luck, healing and balancing of emotions.
